You can tell everybody this is your song...

Saturday - the seventh day of the week, following Friday.

I don't really know why I thought there was more to the definition of Saturday. Well maybe it's because I had one of the best Saturday's ever! Last weekend I had a wonderful, jam packed day that was filled with a variety of events. It first started with waking up before nine. (shocking!) Then making some grub, seen below, and walking around my beautiful hood that I like to call home, Los Feliz.

Next came the Funk Fest! A cool little festival of music, art, food, and funk.

I love when people just let loose and dance...can't fight that beat.

You would think that the day would end with the spinning of vinyl, but oh no...there were more food trucks to be eaten and a movie to be seen.

Free...tequila enfused...veggie...taco! And for you meat eaters, I introduce carnitas and carne asada, tequila enfused tacos. Did I mention FREE?

So here we are, at last! The Outdoor Cinema Food Fest. I shall just describe this event in the order of the title. Lovely weather mixed with just enough wind to keep my face from getting red from the wine. A film that makes you love, cry, rage, love again, and cry again and best of all, sing! As for what you see above, can only be described as affection. Blue cheese curly fries along side with garlic curly fries, and finished off with nutella and peanut butter sweet potato fries. So when you add three bottles of wine, three amazing friends, sweet parking...aka the metro, and a movie worth singing too, you get a Saturday that makes people jealous.
Though I loved sharing this Moulin Rouge experience with two girl friends, who are girlfirends, and a bestie gay.... I couldn't help but think that this would be amazing curled up next to an Ewan McGregor look-a-like. Or really just any cutie that can site through Moulin Rouge and still love me for it.

Title from: Your Song - Elton John
